Ola Electric has planned a future launch of its first electric motorcycle named Roadster that will be delivered to the market in or after March 2025.

Product Launch: Ola Electric, after the scooter, enters the EV two-wheeler segment with the launch of the Roadster prototype on 15 August 2024. 

Production Timeline: Company Founder and CEO Bhavish Aggarwal has also stated that the company is now close to the manufacturing phase and wishes to roll out the Roadster by March 2025. 

Market Expansion: This is in line with Ola Electric’s ongoing plans to expand its product portfolio and consolidate its position in the electric two-wheeler industry.

– Regulatory Scrutiny: On 8th January 2025, SEBI warned Ola Electric Mobility Ltd for leaking Company-related information on social media platforms before moving it to shareholders and the exchange by stressing on timely and equal information dissemination.

-Financial Performance: In November 2024, Ola Electric said its losses had been cut in Q2 despite having high sales figures. During the quarter, the company sold 98,619 two-wheelers, up 73.6% from the corresponding period a year ago. 

The expansion of Ola Electric into the electric motorcycle segment with the launch of Roadster is expected to provide a boost to its product line and attract more customers. Investing in more electric vehicles is proof of its focus on providing environment-friendly solutions to transportation.
