Motorola has recently released a “stable” update of Android 15 for its Edge 50 Pro smartphone. This update, whose version is V1UM35H.10-38-1, comes with a size of 1.77 GB. It was claimed that this update will make the smartphone “smarter, faster and safer”. But the truth is different. Users on Reddit, Motorola forums and Twitter (now X) are complaining fiercely about this update.

Camera and Battery

After the Android 15 update, the camera performance of the Motorola Edge 50 Pro has disappointed users the most. Problems like portrait mode crashes and lag that already existed have now increased even more. Users say that the camera freezes or crashes frequently, making it difficult to use.

Battery performance has also been badly affected. While earlier I used to get 7 hours of screen-on time, now it has reduced to only 4-5 hours. Even doing a factory reset is not solving this problem.

Features of Android 15

The biggest disappointment in this is that many new features of Android 15, such as Circle to Search and Theft Detection Lock, are not present in the Edge 50 Pro. Even Motorola’s own Moto AI feature, which is in the cheaper Edge 50 Neo model, has not been made available in India.

Apart from this, the list of other problems in Motorola Edge 50 Pro is also quite long: like Fast Torch feature, Dark Mode flickering, bloatware like Moto App Manager have further annoyed the users.

The Android 15 update for Motorola Edge 50 Pro has given rise to new problems for users. If you are a user of this phone, then you may be facing these problems right now. Motorola should bring another update soon to solve these issues.
