Normally, it is difficult to remove models from the marketplace due to changing consumer profiles and market situations. However, Bajaj Auto has already delisted the Platina 110 ABS in India.

Launched into the market as the first 110cc motorcycle with the feature of an Anti-Lock Braking

System (ABS), the main objective of the Platina 110 ABS was to provide safety to riders in the commuter motorcycles category. However, the model did not achieve good sales and, therefore, was often withdrawn from the market.

The base variant with Standard Platina 110 offered with a Combined Braking System (CBS) is listed at ₹ 71,354 (ex-showroom). It has remained a favorite, especially among those people who are conscious of their pocket because this variant retains the fuel efficiency aspect.

Besides the Platina 110 ABS, Bajaj has withdrawn the CT125X and Pulsar F250 bikes, which can be seen as a part of the company’s business plan. From the table below, it seems that the company is targeting models with better market performance and expanding in other sectors to address consumers’ emerging needs.

As far as the commuter segment is concerned, motorcycles such as Hero Splendor iSmart and Honda Livo are available which support safety features such as ABS along with performance.

Like any other ever-inclined industry the automotive industry is not letting itself be left behind as Bajaj Auto Limited’s offer equips its automotive designs to suit today’s riders.

Wifi enthusiasts wishing to know Bajaj’s current offerings or the next models coming to the market should visit the Bajaj Auto website or get in touch with the company’s dealers on the market.
