Xiaomi is eager to shake the high-end smartphone market to its core with the release of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. This new stately fancy phone would first be launched in China in late February 2025 before being featured at the MWC in early March 2025; the 15 Ultra would be the first ultra high-end Chinese Android smartphone of the year.

In terms of performance, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will allegedly be running on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite platform, which is thought to be the latest solution. The battery capacity will be at 6000mAh, with 90W fast charging through a wire, and 50W wireless charging for customers who require a long-lasting battery that recharges quickly.

It is expected that the smartphone will feature a “2K” OLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, so the picture and interactions will be bright and smooth. Camera lovers will enjoy the improved system which comprises the main camera with Sony Lytia LYT-900 1-inch type sensor, 50, MP ultrawide lens using Samsung ISOCELL JN5 sensor, 50 MP close-range telephoto and backside 200 MP periscope telephoto lens with a 100x hybrid non-linear “AI” zoom.

By meeting this performance and camera criteria the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is heading directly for the OP1/ S21 series and the S21 FE with a blend of performance, battery, and camera that will appeal to both technical and professional audiences.
